SDG Move joins the Thailand Food and Agriculture Systems Stocktaking Communication Activity “Path to Transforming Thailand’s Sustainable Food System” with the Ministry of Agriculture, ThaiHealth, and ARDA.

July 19, 2023 – The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, the Thailand Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth), the Agricultural Research Development Agency (Public Organization), and 40 food for health partners, including the Centre for SDG Research and Support (SDG Move), Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University, joined the Thailand Food and Agriculture Systems Stocktaking communication activity “Path to Transforming Thailand’s Sustainable Food System” at Meeting Room 112, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives.

This media communication activity was organized to exchange views and directions on supporting Thailand’s sustainable food system. This is in preparation for the ministerial-level Food and Agriculture Stocktaking Moment, which will be held from July 24-26, 2023 at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Rome, Italy.

The event was led by:

  • Mr. Sedthakiat Krajangwongs, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives
  • Ms. Nawarat Chalermpao, Assistant FAO Representative for Thailand
  • Dr. Pairoj Saonuam, Assistant Manager of the Thailand Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth)
  • Ms. Siriporn Wiwornwong, Deputy Director of the Agricultural Research Development Agency (Public Organization)
  • Assistant Professor Chol Bunnag, Director of the Centre for SDG Research and Support (SDG Move), Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University
