SDG Updates | TSRI together with SDG Move Prepared Area-Base Research and Innovation Plan 2022, Applying SDGs framework on “Foresight.”

March 2020, Bangkok

On March 1, 2020, team SDG Move, under Pro-Green Research Center, Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University, and Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI) has organized an intensive workshop on ‘foresight’ tools and methods at Amari Don Muang Airport Hotel. Respective participants were regional TSRI executive boards and officers from 18 provincial clusters. The workshop aimed to introduce foresight concept in survey vast and valid local needs, spatially and timely, and together trial a foresight tool set designed for the up and coming multidisciplinary regional research and innovation planning for communities in the regions. 

Foresight is a bottom-up planning concept while holding common future visions. It deals with wide-ranged of data and information set in order to organized strategic future plan with different possibilities. The core important to a valid plan is extensive and effective participation of all key actors and/or stakeholders in the area, not only for a complete vision but also for a corporative plan and policy advocacy.
