YSDA and SDG Move Co-organize a Youth Leadership Camp to Drive Local SDGs “Young Move SDGs Forward Camp”

July 3, 2023 – The Young Sustainable Development Association of Thailand (YSDA Thailand), in collaboration with the Center for Sustainable Development Goals Research and Support (SDG Move), the Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University, and the independent SDGs Hub group under the care of the Thammasat University Student Affairs Division, co-organized the “Youth Leadership Camp for Driving Sustainable Development Goals” (Young Move SDG Forward Camp) from June 30 to July 3, 2023 at Thammasat University, Rangsit Campus. A total of 487 young people from all over Thailand participated in the camp.

On this occasion, Assistant Professor Chol Bunnag, Director of SDG Move, and Dr. Nuttavikhom Phanthuwongpakdee, Deputy Director, were invited as speakers to share knowledge about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), share experiences, and inspire young people to change society.

The Youth Leaders for Sustainable Development Goals project aims to train young people (aged 16-25) to be leaders with the knowledge, skills and abilities to organize activities to drive SDGs at the local level (Localizing SDGs). In the role of the youth sector, they understand the link between themselves and the three pillars of sustainability: society, environment and economy.

The Young Sustainable Development Association of Thailand (YSDA Thailand) is a youth organization that works to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It is also an organization that supports youth volunteer activities for social, economic and environmental development towards sustainability.
