SDG Move Joins the Seminar and Photo Exhibition “SDGs l The Depth of Field Development Milestones in Times of Transition”

June 20, 2023 – The Centre for SDG Research and Support (SDG Move), led by Assistant Professor Chol Bunnag, Director of the Center, joined the seminar and opened the photo exhibition “SDGs | The Depth of Field Development Milestones in Times of Transition” [Thai: SDGs | The Depth of Field หมุดหมายการพัฒนาในช่วงเวลาเปลี่ยนผ่าน] at Museum Siam, Bangkok.

In 2022, Bangkok Tribune news agency produced the photo essay project “SDGs I The Depth of Field” to translate the ideas and challenges behind the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into easily understandable and actionable terms. This year, the project has partnered with Decode.plus, a subsidiary of Thai PBS, the SDG Move, SEA-Junction, with support from the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Foundation, Thailand Office, and Museum Siam, to organize the “Seminar and Photo Exhibition SDGs l The Depth of Field Development Milestones in Times of Transition” to invite the public to explore the meaning and challenges of setting development goals in this time of transition.

On this occasion, Asst. Prof. Chol Bunnag was invited to join the seminar and give an overview of “The concept and status of SDGs in Thailand and the world”. He also exchanged views in the Policy Reflection session with other distinguished speakers, including:

  • Mr. Renaud Meyer, UNDP Resident Representative to Thailand
  • Dr. Thuttai Keeratipongpaiboon, Director of the Strategy and International Cooperation Division, National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC)
  • Ms. Wanun Permpibul, Executive Director of Climate Watch Thailand
  • Dr. Petch Manopawitr, Secretary General of Green World Foundation and Founder of ReReef
  • Dr. Decharut Sukkumnoed , Director of the Center for Future Policy (Think Forward Center), Move Forward Party
